(NASDAQ: SVA), a leading provider of biopharmaceutical products in China, has filed a Form 12b-25 Notification of Late Filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that discloses that the Company is unable to file its annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2016 (the “2016 Annual Report”) within four months after the end of year 2016.
Additional time is needed by the Company’s Audit Committee in its internal investigation related to a recent report regarding the allegations raised in a research report by Geoinvesting. The investigation has slowed completion of the Company’s financial statements and audit for the year ended December 31, 2016. The filing of Sinovac’s 2016 AnnualReport is delayed as a result.
